In AVID, Mondays and Wednesdays are spent on the AVID curriculum which focuses on colleges and career writing (resumes, business letters, etc.). On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will have tutorials. TRFs are due when class begins on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Click here to download the TRF. After the first month of tutorials, if you do not have level 2 or 3 questions on your TRF, you will be assigned extra practice for the weekend. AVID homework deadlines will be given in class. Late work is work half credit and is due by Friday of the week it is assigned.

Grading

The majority of your grade will come from tutorials. Each tutorial and TRF is worth 25 points. You lose points for not having a complete TRF when you come to class, level 1 questions, and not participating in your tutorial. You will also be scored on the neatness and completeness of your binder.
